If you’ve spent nearly a decade working in the fashion industry like me, you come across a lot of stylish people. And no doubt, on my list, fashion editor Diana Tsui is among them. A former senior market editor at New York Magazine’s The Cut, Tsui’s style is a master class in eclecticism: it’s not unusual to spot her in a dramatic voluminous dress or skirt (usually by Sacai or old Celine), with show-stopping sneakers to match. Her self proclaimed “goth grandma” sense of style is due in part to legendary Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo, “Growing up in New York City, I wore a ton of head-to-toe black as a teen but it wasn’t until after I graduated college and discovered the wonders of fashion forums that I found myself drawn to fancier all-black ensembles. One designer, in particular, stuck in my brain: Rei Kawakubo and her fantastical

We’ve already highlighted the coolest new swim trends for this year and the swimsuits that are out, and ahead I’m breaking down the styles A-listers are getting behind—aka the most popular celebrity bikini trends this year—and the one trend that celebs are notably skipping.

Looking to celeb beach outfits, barely-there bikinis are being embraced in a huge way. String bikinis and triangle tops are being endorsed by celebs like Bella Hadid and the always photogenic J. Lo. On the other end of the spectrum, we’re seeing celebs like Kylie Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski wearing inventive one-pieces that range from belted swimsuits to styles with cutouts.

The one style we’re not seeing celebrities wear right now? High-waisted bikinis. The silhouette has been hugely popular in the last few years, but now celebrities seem to be shying away from the style. Go on to see the swimsuits the celebrity bikini and Read the rest

There are plenty of color trends that make it on our radar, but there’s one that is drumming up a lot of excitement among the Who What Wear editors: bubblegum pink. If I had to put a number on it, I’d say I’ve tested upwards of 50 moisturizers in the last few years. What can I say? I’m a sucker for best sellers, anything with hyaluronic acid, and the latest technology-packed products. So I like to think that I’ve seen and tried my fair share of options, some of which have become permanent fixtures in my routine, while the majority are usually cycled out after a few months. But last month I got my hands on the new StriVectin Wrinkle Recode™ Moisture Rich Barrier Cream, and little did I know that my skin would be blessed with one of the very best face creams it has ever tried.

This fresh-smelling tub of cream is thick but absorbs really fast, always leaving my face with a subtle dewy glow. I swear it only took a few days of using it morning … Read the rest

There’s no denying the fact that Americans are obsessed with French-girl style. As we’ve discussed pretty tirelessly, Parisian women dress in a way that, for whatever reason, American girls aspire to achieve. Normally, we ask our favorite French girls all about the items they’re buying, wearing, loving, etc., so that we can all go off and make our purchases accordingly, but this time we wanted to switch it up. Intrigued yet?

We reached out to a handful of our favorite French women and asked them what, if anything, it is about American style that makes them laugh. I tried guessing before I asked them the daunting question, but my answers were nowhere close to what they had to say. When it comes to the differences between American and French style, these Parisian ladies have quite a few things to say. Ahead, find out what French girls said they find … Read the rest

When shopping, do you ever come across or try on an item that you suspect may look cheap but can’t quite put your finger on why? Well, today I’m here to help you not only decode why an item may look less than worthy of its price tag but also avoid accidentally purchasing such pieces only to later regret it. Seeing as I’ve been a recreational or professional shopper pretty much all my life, I’ve come to learn certain tricks to figuring out which items to skip and what to look for in a budget buy.

Some are more obvious such as cheap-looking hardware or zippers, but others, such as oddly placed seams and unfinished hems, can take a bit of practice to spot. To see my full list, read about all seven of the characteristics to look out for, and do a little editor-approved shopping along the … Read the rest

It’s been over a year since Katie Holmes stepped out in her now-iconic Khaite cashmere bra and matching cardigan set. A photograph depicting the actress hailing a cab as her cardigan and strap fell from her shoulder subsequently went viral and put the underwear as outerwear trend back on the fashion map. Fast-forward to 2021 and the look’s influence remains palpable—particularly on the designer circuit

Moda Operandi has reported a 30% increase in the popularity of bras for SS21 and found they were featured in 10% of all trunk shows (new collection previews and pre-sales), compared to 3% in the previous season. Essentially, it’s a look that’s only gaining momentum, and although it might not be considered a “mainstream” trend, it’s certainly one that’s providing hard to ignore, on both the high-end and high street shopping circuits.

The big question is, how does one style a bra top? “The … Read the rest

This post was published at an earlier date and has since been updated. With these insider tricks in mind, go ahead and show off to all your Instagram followers.

Every time I open up Instagram, I see a perfectly positioned model or influencer showing off their outfit. Without fail, I assume the seemingly perfect photo was effortless to capture. I always take it for granted that the person in the photo is naturally photogenic (and that if I’m not naturally photogenic, I’d never be able to pull off the same photo). But guess what: That couldn’t be further from the truth. Anyone who frequently has their photo taken just knows what works for them, mostly from trial and error.

For Instagram’s director of fashion partnerships, Eva Chen, it’s her baby giraffe pose, while the Barbie feet pose is a favorite among celebs and models everywhere. It’s no big secret how … Read the rest
