Swimsuit season is here, everyone, and there are so many stunning trends to know about that we honestly can’t stop talking about. If you’re ready to try them out, now is the time to add them to your cart. The best news? Y’all asked for under $100 pieces, so I hunted down some cheap swimsuits that tap into all of the biggest summer trends at an affordable price point.

We know you’re searching for sunglasses shapes to add to your rotation year-round, so we won’t skimp on the trends you’ll want to get to know. We scoured the runways and checked the new arrivals from our favorite eyewear brands – Oliver Peoples, Linda Farrow, Le Specs, and Quay Australia, just to name a few – and uncovered the biggest looks of 2021. These styles may be even more important than your blue-light reading glasses because you can wear them outside and inside – inside, like, when you’re posing for an outfit selfie, of course.

This year, we’re not only seeing a repetition of certain shapes, but a recreation of them. Futuristic designs come in all forms – some have frames that swerve or make waves at the sides, while others feature incredibly cool cutouts in the actual lens itself. Meanwhile, heavy metal is a trend, and we’re seeing yellow … Read the rest

Before second-skin tops officially became a thing late last year, they were all I would see on my daily work commute into Manhattan. Preceding that, before Telfar became a global phenomenon, gracing Oprah’s Favorite Things List, they were the bag of choice for my Brooklyn fashion friends in the industry. If you notice a style or brand suddenly gaining favor within the city’s creative community, chances are it’ll be the next thing the rest of the globe will be watching.  Essentially, what I’m getting at is that New Yorkers are pretty darn good at trend prediction. It’s usually a long path for a thing to become a certified trend, but 99{6c217faeda4b498c6d96a863fcc36608937399471dd824f5a48045596c462c5c} of the time, where this trail begins is with the new or underground brands that build a devoted following. To get an idea of which names will be in the spotlight next year, I conducted an informal poll to

Victoria’s Secret is shedding its angel wings for something stronger. On June 16, the lingerie brand announced that its next chapter will be led by influential individuals across various industries. Pro athlete Megan Rapinoe, actress Priyanka Chopra, photographer Amanda de Cadenet, skier Eileen Gu, and models Adut Akech, Paloma Elsesser, and Valentina Sampaio make up Victoria’s Secret’s new partnership platform: VS Collective.

“We are proud to announce an exciting new partnership platform, #TheVSCollective, designed to shape the future of Victoria’s Secret,” the brand wrote on Instagram Wednesday. “These extraordinary partners, with their unique backgrounds, interests and passions will collaborate with us to create revolutionary product collections, compelling and inspiring content, new internal associate programs and rally support for causes vital to women.”

Victoria’s Secret’s revamped direction comes after years of criticism over the brand’s lack of body diversity. Its controversial annual fashion show saw its last year in 2018, around … Read the rest

Over the past year, I’ve had to take serious stock of my shoe collection. With nowhere to go, I had to think about which pairs I would actually wear once the world eventually opened back up. It was during this time that I discovered a massive, gaping hole in my collection: sandals, specifically slingback sandals. I owned none despite having a ton of different options saved on my phone.

I’m not a big sandal wearer, but I have a special place in my heart for slingbacks. Unlike traditional mules, these trusty styles come complete with a strap across the back of your foot to keep it in place and in the shoe throughout the day. Plus, there are so many different styles to choose from, including elegant strappy versions from brands such as Reike Nen and chunkier flat options from Birkenstock. This sandal trend honestly just checks all of my … Read the rest

We notice that men usually like to buy fashion clothing online, one reason must be they are always busy for work and no time to go to a physical shop to pick fashion clothes on the street.

Lizzo, known for wearing only the brightest and most uplifting summer fashion we’ve seen yet, has just announced “big girl summer” in her Ashanti Swimwear Ama bikini, which was given to her by brother and sister design duo Dexter and Yasmeen Opare. Dexter and Yasmeen are behind the UK-based African label that infuses Kente and Ankara prints onto designs to reflect Ghanaian culture and tell a story. Lizzo’s choice in the Apremo-Canon pattern is associated with the Ghanaian fight for freedom from foreign domination.

“During the national lockdown last year, I sent Lizzo a message via DM, and she was kind enough to connect me to her team. I personally sent over some swimsuits, and we have stayed in contact since,” Yasmeen explained to POPSUGAR, continuing, “One thing I love about Lizzo is that her energy is infectious. Though our conversation was brief, Lizzo was so kind and open-hearted during … Read the rest

There’s power in statement jewelry. Even the most basic white t-shirt gets a little lift with the right necklace or pair of earrings—no effort required. I’ve always been quite the jewelry hoarder for that very reason, but it still took a pandemic for me to realize just how often I lean on my jewelry to carry my outfits. Looking for unique jewelry is one of my favorite past times, but it’s an expensive habit that can add up fast. And with the plethora of amazing jewelry trends hitting the scene recently, more than ever I’ve been tempted to spend my entire monthly budget on pairs of hoops and chunky rings. To the relief of my wallet, I’ve discovered a more affordable alternative of staying on top of this season’s accessory trends: Amazon. By now it shouldn’t really surprise you, that like most things, Amazon is the destination for cool, of

I’ve always been fascinated by natural processes in beauty, cooking, and, of course, fashion. During a virtual preview with Sheena Sood, designer of Abacaxi, we got into a conversation about the use of natural dye for clothing. Sood shared that she uses spices and fruit to dye fabrics and that turmeric is one of her favorites as it has naturally rich color and healing properties. I was fascinated, as my only experience dipping fabrics has been with store-bought dyes. I asked if she would be willing to share her process, and she graciously agreed!

Scroll for a step-by-step straight from Sheena Sood:

About Turmeric Dyeing and Ayurveda

Not only does turmeric yield a bright, saturated yellow color as a dye, it also has healing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. In Ayurvedic medicine, the turmeric-dyed cloth is actually used for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving qualities. Our skin is an organ, and what … Read the rest
