This season of The Bachelorette has been a wild ride, with Clare Crawley walking off into the sunset early with Dale Moss just a few episodes into the show and Tayshia Adams taking her place and winning us all over. One thing that hasn’t changed this season? The number of gorgeous gowns we’ve seen Tayshia wear on the reality show. We talked to Cary Fetman, the stylist for The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, ahead of the show’s highly anticipated finale to answer some of our burning style questions. And yes, we even got to talk about the gown Tayshia chose for her big moment on the finale! Cary even gave us a little glimpse of what to expect from Matt James’s upcoming season of The Bachelor.
Kate Middleton seems to have her own unique way of styling her purple Gucci blouse. The Duchess of Cambridge wore the pussy-bow blouse during a recent Q&A for her Early Years campaign on Instagram on Nov. 28, and previously for a visit to the Henry Fawcett Children’s Centre in March 2019 – but fans and publications noticed that Catherine was wearing the blouse in the reverse way that it appeared on the runway and retailer’s websites.
First pointed out in March 2019 by a fan who tweeted, “It’s the end of the day and I just realized that I’m wearing my pants backwards which is very interesting because recently a Kate Middleton wore her Gucci blouse backwards. That’s right I made the same mistake as a PRINCESS,” the astute observation was later picked up by Marie Claire and Bustle.
It seems that the purple pussy-bow blouse from … Read the rest
I used to be able to sum up Pete Davidson’s fashion in a few words: unpredictable, maximalist, and oh yeah, neon. His mixed prints, cropped pants, and extensive sneaker collection carved him out a space as a “scumbro” style icon – whether he planned on it or not. But lately, Pete has been shifting his style strategy away from standout streetwear to lean fully into comfort, and he told POPSUGAR he’s looking to Adam Sandler for inspiration.
After a couple years of nonstop headlines, Pete laid relatively low in 2020. Aside from Saturday Night Live skits where he’s increasingly in front of the cameras, the last public appearance Pete made was at the Big Time Adolescence premiere in March, where he wore all black. I wouldn’t say the era of clashing colors and slides with socks is over, but when Pete greeted me on a Zoom call recently wearing a … Read the rest
It goes without saying that 2020 turned out to be a much more casual year than most of us anticipated. With widespread stay-at-home orders, we saw a rise in search for oversize joggers, stretchy pants, and cozy tube socks. But if you’re anything like us, you know that though comfort is life, it’s still cool to appreciate the season’s current and upcoming trends. We of course took note of what the “cool girls” wore to the (virtual) fashion shows and, more importantly, in their living rooms.
We did some research and partnered with a few of our favorite online retailers to see what trends we shopped for this year. With the help of Stephanie Nelson-Roberson, SVP and head of buying at Shopbop, and Celenie Seidel, senior womenswear editor at Farfetch, we rounded up the pieces everyone seemed to be in the market for this year, because they … Read the rest
Gwen Stefani wants to reintroduce herself to us, and we’re all ears. With her latest single, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” being a tribute to some of her most iconic eras, we thought it was fitting to go back over Gwen’s most iconic looks. We talked with her stylist, Sonja Christensen, who is responsible for some of Gwen’s most memorable outfits, including that sheer black netted gown by Charbel Zoe Couture from The Voice‘s finale that was simply b-a-n-a-n-a-s. Speaking of that dress, Sonja revealed that it was actually her favorite recent red carpet look. “We added a ton of additional details to that dress (with the permission of the designer, of course). The dress was beautiful, and she looked absolutely stunning,” she said.
Are you debating if you should wear your fanciest outfits for the festive season? Well, don’t think on it for another second, because you absolutely should – even if you’ll be staying safe inside and the only people really seeing your looks are online. This year has shown us that although we might not always dress for ourselves, doing so is an easy way to boost your mood. A cute outfit actually has the ability to tell your brain to release tons of happy chemicals that will make you feel as bubbly as your favorite bottle of fizz. “We don’t laugh because we are happy, we are happy because we laugh,” philosopher William James said – and when it comes to celebrating special events in lockdown, that quote couldn’t ring more true.

Like many people, I’ve spent a lot of time at home over the past few months. The weather has turned sharply cold and I’ve been on the search for comfy clothing that lets me lounge comfortably at home with my kids during their virtual school sessions and run quick grocery errands without having to change my outfit.
After searching online and lurking reviews, I came across PRETTYGARDEN’s Solid Two Piece Sweatsuit ($19-34) and I’ve never felt more excited to jump out of bed every morning. The set comes with a long-sleeved crew neck and sweatpants that are practically the perfect blend between “don’t bother me, I’m on a care-free vacation” and “yeah, I know I have good fashion taste.”
The two-piece set is super soft and cozy, making it ideal for lounging comfortably at home with a cup of hot chocolate. I simply want to snuggle with the nearest person … Read the rest
Revivals aren’t always successful, but the recent reboot of Saved by the Bell has been a huge hit. With nostalgic reprisals of the old cast – we’re talking about A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez), Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley), Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen) – as well as fresh, new faces and socially relevant storylines, what’s not to love? We’re still just as distracted by the outfits as we were when we watched the original TV show, because they’re really quite noteworthy.
The first season starts with a class divide after the merging of kids from Douglas High and Bayside High. The series follows the ups and downs of the Douglas kids trying to fit in with new school programs as well as varying social differences. Staying true to its original ’90s roots, the colorful wardrobes fit in seamlessly with today’s current trends – all the clothes are … Read the rest
From James Dean to ’90s supermodels and even the Kardashian-Jenner clan Christmas card, little defines American-cool quite like a T-shirt and jeans. But that perfect pair of jeans is ever elusive. Gap is one of those brands that knows denim, and you can always count on it for the latest trends, as well as your time-honored go-to cuts. One of those recent trends is wide-legged cropped denim.
Moving from skinny jeans in recent years into straight-legged as my go-to, I was reluctant to try wide-legged denim as a petite person. While I occasionally love a wide-leg pant with platforms to give the legs-for-days effect, I thought cropped denim would cut off one of my best assets and make me look stumpy. So, when I got the opportunity to try them out for you, I was excited. I enlisted my mother, a Gap enthusiast, to help me. “I can … Read the rest
We’re not going to lie, it’s been some time since we’ve put on a pair of heels, but Amina Muaddi’s collaboration with A$AP Rocky is about to change that. The talented designer teamed up with the rapper and creative extraordinaire for a new collection of four stunning shoes, and they are exactly what we needed to get excited about dressing up again. It’s Amina’s first collaboration for her own brand and it holds a special place in her heart, sharing on Instagram that despite being friends for years, the collection is over a year in the making.
“Inspired by A$AP Rocky’s personal style and cultural impact, the collaboration between AWGE and Amina Muaddi captures today’s shifting narrative,” the brand wrote in a press release. “Two usually distinct approaches to creativity merging together in order to convey a futuristic and global message.”
In an interview with Vogue, the duo … Read the rest
