Everyone knows the fashion world is constantly changing and this can only mean that the list of fashion mistakes is constantly changing as well. In the hallowed halls of the Northeastern Ivy league campuses, new trends emerged beginning with the trad style. Like the tuxedo, the trad style adopted the traditional style of the suit but was an effort to allow young men to rebel against the strict dress codes they viewed their fathers as having. Despite these dress codes being far more relaxed than anything throughout history, the Ivy league students felt they needed to revolt. Some of us are at loss as to what to do and say given the seemingly overwhelming reality we are immersed into. Many of us,Africans here in Mzantsi, opt-out of our responsibilities to stud, learn and act upon our acquired knowledge. We are simply happy to cost our artificial posts in life, and pass on the responsibility of learning about ourselves to others. We even use and quote them(Our African Master Teachers and Master Writers) extensively. We are charged with writing our story, and we will have to do it diligently and thoroughly. UNESCO, under the United Nations, recognizes the significance of cultural diversity and strives to preserve this common human heritage for its value in expression, innovation as well as creation. These are some of the valuable reasons as to why adding this dimension to the curriculum development and instruction plan would have beneficial impacts following once the plan is implemented. UNESCO recognizes cultural diversity as one of the most important factors in development given that it allows for an array of options from the different perspectives allowed by diversity. Given that we live in a globalized world toward, diversity is evident in every society, organization or institution. This, therefore, makes it an international dimension. By including this dimension in the curriculum and instruction plan, it will further promote increased interaction between individuals from different cultural and ethnical backgrounds etc not just between student and faculty members in school, but also with other students from different regions across the globe. This is particularly important given that the world is becoming increasingly globalized and there is a great need to learn, understand and appreciate different cultures and practices across the globe. I am not going to apologize to no one when it comes to talking about our country South Africa, which must first of all take care of South Africans “first”, and anybody else last. This is what I am talking about when I say I do not apologize to no one when saying what I have said above.
Flip flops are a southern girls favorite footwear, and they are fine for the beach, a picnic, or wearing in the back yard, but you need to consider another alternative if you are going out in public. These are not fashion sandals and even if they are decorated they are still a casual item meant for casual clothing and activities. When we research African people’s history, culture, customs, traditions and language, we can do so some of the times, alone. But as we need to go further in our understanding our history, culture, customs, traditions and languages, we need to do so as a united African people, as Chinweizu is pointing out above. In order for us to clearly understand the diatribe above in relation to language, we will refer to Ong as he write: “In oral cultures experience is intellectualized mnemonic ally. So, how can a conditioned slave have options which are not there for him to choose from or as you say, ‘Choose a comfort mind-setwhich still is a rickety postulation, and of course, worse still, the last sentence in which you state ‘You dare win or loose,’ is seriously flawed and vague and incredulous. Wilson says: “People who are ahistorical, who have little knowledge of history, are people who are more gullible, more easily manipulated and people who can be more easily adapted to the capitalist machine than people who are historically knowledgeable”. A good body skin tightening cream must have Vitamin C in order to boost the skin’s performance in producing more collagen. Collagen fibre must also be produced for a firmer skin. Hyaluronic acid can do the trick. For those who have just given birth, they should watch out for their abdominal skin as it may begin to sag, too. Herbal blend will not only firm up the stomach but will also target the skin in the buttocks, breasts, and other parts of your body. The Liberation Struggle in South Africa from the 1960s till the 1990s gave rise to a number of schools of thought on the role of culture (art & literature) under a racially oppressive and authoritarian society. The debates ranged from the use of the arts as a weapon of the struggle to artists working towards the creation of a new people-centered non-racial culture. As the mod style grew in popularity, many other groups picked it up, sparking the mod movement which peaked in the mid 1960s. At its height in popularity, mod clothing could be seen on supermodels, musicians, and everyone else, young to old, not just teenagers. However, because it started as a counterculture movement, its popularity led to its downfall, as those who started the trend abandoned it because it had become too popular. It was no longer a rebellious subculture because too many people were wearing mod clothing. By about 1967, the mod style was replaced by hippie, bohemian, and psychedelic styles. After its mid 1960s heyday, mod clothing styles were revived several times, most notably in Britain in the late 1970s and in the United States in the early 1980s.
Japan is another country worth further study as their idea of National Identity borders on obsessive. The Japanese society which dates back to BCE dates has spent more energy, manpower, and time in their struggle to break free from the yoke of Chinese cultural influence. Geographically Japan is part of the Pacific Rim, but because it is an island, has made the cultural impact of the Orient less evident. History shows us that the National Identity of Japan was closely related to ethnicity and their isolation from the rest of the world made it possible. For a thousand years, the cultural practices and lifestyles of the Japanese people existed with a high degree of stability, steeped heavy in tradition and honor. World War II and its aftermath saw a shift in Japanese National Identity with post-war industrialization, the importation of foreign workers, and many other outside influences dramatically changed the nation. Formerly most Japanese people saw themselves as superior to anyone else in the world and considered Westerner’s as barbaric and primitive that is until they were summarily defeated with superior technology by America. After the war ended, Japan was left in shambles most of the industries and transportation networks in all the large cities were destroyed or severely damaged. The citizens were faced with severe food shortage for years following the war, the casualties of the nuclear bombs were massive, and the long-term impact of the radiation would haunt them seemingly forever. The economy was almost totally paralyzed from the destruction and the black market coupled with runaway inflation loomed heavy. The once proud National Identity of the Japanese people was destroyed and it was obvious that if it re-emerged, it would not resemble that of the past. Historians will say that with huge levels of government intervention that the National Identity has been restored but only on a symbolic front. Yes, the age old need†to be free from Chinese influence was felt as recently as three years ago with anti-Japan protests in China over territorial disputes being countered in Japan with a disdainful look; again exhibiting that superiority from their history while watching the barbarians loot and destroy. Now however, Japan is more influenced by the Western world than the Orient and less Japanese†than ever, with many blaming American influence. A recent surge in nationalism has given rise to more questions instead of answers. The laser-like focus by the Japanese in their pursuit of progress seems to be on a collision course with the way of the Samurai and Western icons and cultural symbols will certainly be part of the conflict.
There are men and women, preferably with Black(African) birthmarks on their palm on the hands, with good memories and a great capacity to remember words and to repeat them exactly as they had heard them spoken. These people were told the history of the Clans, under oath never to alter, add or subtract any word. Anyone who so much as thought of changing any of the stories of his Clan that had been told fell immediately under a High Curse which covered him, his children and his children’s children. These clan story-tellers wee called Guardians of the “Umlando” or Clan History. this analysis is based on how these are performed today, and will be the baseline in the analysis of urban stylistic changes. Ethnohistorical evidence shows stylistic and textual continuity in traditional music; its fundamental principles have not changed and have continued to operate uniformly in examples recorded over the past two centuries. this persistence suggests their existence before that time. These principles apply equally to the structure of goal and instrumental performance and, with some variation, to all the indigenous African musical cultures of the Region, specifically in Mzantsi. So what you need to do is use a good skin care face cream that improves your skin at the cellular level but you also need to make some lifestyle changes to prevent the formation of wrinkles and premature skin aging. Art is a mirror and at times forecaster. It tells us about our progress in terms of the South African ‘identity,’ and where it could lead to. Take the time to practice a regular cleansing routine. To clean facial skin use a gentle, fragrance free cleanser, preferably one that is pH balanced. Deodorant soaps shouldn’t be used on your face. They may irritate your skin and eyes or clog your pores. Now, you have people come and read this Hub, and ignorantly have and rude and racist comeuppance whereby they arrogantly make very jingoistic and jaundiced deduction about us because that was how apartheid was existing: putting us down, telling us we had no culture and were badly disorganized and poorly led by our “chiefs who sold us for a song and that, even today south Africa is in chaos because that’s what we were like when the European “discovered and rescued us from pour barbarity and introduced our accursed lot into the modern World. In contrast, the South—with a climate unsuited to either coffee or sugar—became the destination of many German and Italian immigrants who raised cattle and grew a variety of crops. The heritage of the Northeast coast, based on slave labor and a plantation economy, was distinct from that of the South and Southeast, where plantations existed along with small family farms. Such historical differences partly account for contemporary contrasts between these regions.
