While the tradition of classic boy bands is rooted in an all-vocal and dance format, a number of new pop boy bands play musical instruments as they sing. While certain pop bands have disliked being associated with the term boy band, they still get referred to as boy bands because of their soft textural vocal parts and pop harmonies that exude boyish charm. Although the music of newer boy bands is drastically different from that of classic boy bands, the core elements in ballads and dance songs stay true to their roots. Because all men and women have skin type peculiar to them finding a suitable solution takes time. During the Black Power Movement of the 60s when Black became popular Afro American was used an talked about but didn’t fully take. When I was a kid you could get stickers with our colors red, black and green and at the top it would say Afro. Short for African. Which is where the name of the Afro hairstyle comes.
