When tragedies occur such as America experienced on September 11th, there usually is a coming together of people; a time when all petty conflicts are put aside and everyone wears their patriotism proudly, flag fly, red, white, and blue become more prominent, and the American Eagle soars across the sky. Yet, when divisionary politics, globalization, and racial tension exists, National Identity is often attacked and used as a tool of further division politically, genetically, or culturally.
