Over the past year, I’ve had to take serious stock of my shoe collection. With nowhere to go, I had to think about which pairs I would actually wear once the world eventually opened back up. It was during this time that I discovered a massive, gaping hole in my collection: sandals, specifically slingback sandals. I owned none despite having a ton of different options saved on my phone.

I’m not a big sandal wearer, but I have a special place in my heart for slingbacks. Unlike traditional mules, these trusty styles come complete with a strap across the back of your foot to keep it in place and in the shoe throughout the day. Plus, there are so many different styles to choose from, including elegant strappy versions from brands such as Reike Nen and chunkier flat options from Birkenstock. This sandal trend honestly just checks all of my boxes—easy, chic, and versatile.

I am by no means abandoning my white sneakers or booties this summer, though. I’m just making some room for a few types of shoes that are a little more warm weather appropriate. Ahead, see all of the pretty slingback sandals that I simply had to share. I can pretty much guarantee that you’ll find something you love.

These white sandals are perfect for everyday wear.

Everyone needs a pair of lace-up slingbacks in their collection.

The cushy strap on this pair from Miista is quite nice.

A great block heel.

The combination of black and brown on this pair of delicate slingbacks works in the best way.

These metallic sandals are perfect for a summer wedding.

This pair of heels comes in a few different colors, but I prefer this red shade.

These sandals from Madewell are so easy to style.

These sandals from Mango are peachy keen, and I want to wear them everywhere.

I can’t stop staring at these bright-green sandals.

If you want a pair of shoes that will add some spice to your going-out outfit, consider these stunners.

You’re going to wear this pair of white sandals so often that you’ll have a hard time keeping them clean.

It’s all about the two-strap sandals this summer.

Quilted shoes are going to be massively popular this summer if this pair is any indication.

I have been thinking of buying these sandals for weeks, so I think it may be time to finally add them to my cart.

These Birkenstocks are possibly the most comfortable shoes on this list.

It’s all about the puffy sandals this season.

Feeling the chunkier silhouette.

These sandals from Dr. Martens run large, so go for a size down.

If you want to play with color this summer, try these sandals from Chinese Laundry on for size.

You’ll wear these sandals with everything.

Into knotted sandals this summer.

This lavender hue is too cute to pass up on.

The chain detail on this pair of sandals is lovely.

You can never have too many pairs of simple strappy sandals in your collection.

Ganni can do no wrong in my eyes.

I never want to take these flip-flops from Public Desire off.

Gorgeous.

Cute.
